Hanni El Khatib Premieres New Song

Finally, Hanni El Khatib has premiered his latest song "Family". After a sharing some whiskey with Dan Auerbach in Paris, Khatib teamed up with the head of The Black Keys to produce his sophomore album. You will be pleased to hear the same familiar garage rock sound with a new set of striking power chords and smashing drums combined with Khatib's effortless vocal delivery. He worked on his new album "Head in the Dirt" with Auerbach in his Nashville recording studio. Read Rolling Stone's article here.  The album is expected to be released on April 30th. Stay tuned.

I saw The Blank Tapes band perform at the Continental Room. Since their first album in '09, The Blank Tapes have evolved into a jammin' lo-fi/psych/garage trio. Pretty good show, I highly suggest you check them out. They have a January residency at The Continental Room every sunday.
