A million ways

I prefer to read a mystery over romance.
There are so many more ways to die than to fall in love.

I used to be so good at it

I gave an oral presentation today on my senior thesis project. I got so nervous that when I started speaking my nose started to sweat and my non-prescription glasses began to slide off. I had to continuously push them up.

Hi, my name is _______

I don't like how the word 'stranger' has a negative connotation.
What if that stranger is exactly the person you need to know in order to enhance your life? We shouldn't be afraid of others because they indeed hold the potential offer an opportunity, general knowledge or even love. You will never know until you know so find out.

Curious Question

What does he look like when he wakes up in the morning?

The quiet type

People are afraid of the unknown.
You could say I lead by fear.

PWFB

Today I met a 9 year old who said he needed to lose 22 pounds this summer.
What happened to the days when kids were allowed to be kids?

So this happened...

He put on a pretty rad show. Super raw. Can't wait for the next album.

Heads up

Raised in San Francisco, signed to LA's Innovative Leisure records, Hanni El Khatib is storming through California with a vintage Silvertone in hand. He describes his music as "for anyone who has ever been shot or hit by a train". His debut album, "When The Guns Come Out" is an 11 track home run with a catchy combination of blues, rock n' roll, and garage rock inspired by the 50's and 60's. There are nine original songs, including the hit "Come Alive" and three covers on the album including Elvis's "Heartbreak Hotel". The album brings the kind of sounds that make you want to roll your sleeves up and walk like you've got a gun in your pocket. Khatib is just finishing up his first tour and it is known that Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys will be producing his sophomore album. Get ready.

I will be checking him out on May 12, the last show of the tour. I'm crossing my fingers, hoping for something crazy bad to happen.

SOPHOMORE SLUMP

I hate when bands come out with a sophomore album and it doesn't come close to living up to their first one. Actually, I hate when any band decides to change their sound almost entirely for a 'fresh' new album and it ends up sounding worse. Always disappointing... and no matter how much you want to like it, the album just sounds like shit.

I like your sound.
I don't like your sound plus a bunch of other sounds.

Orange County

I should have never left this place.
The days are so much better now that I'm back. So many movie theatres, it's crazy. Boy, did I miss seeing palm trees, and feeling the sun. School has started and so far my classes seem (and have been rumored to be) fairly easy classes despite that they are upper division psych classes. Oh, private school. I had a two hour break in between classes today and I ended up on the third floor balcony of one of the buildings, laying on a bench soaking up the sun. Seriously, I got a tan.... in January. There are two seasons here: 11 months of Summer, and 1 month of summer pretending very poorly to be Winter.

This is how I felt when I came back.

hate/hate relationship

Small town

I have always hated the town that I grew up in. After this past month,  I'm starting to believe that this town hates me too.

My last final was on the last Friday afternoon of classes. The day after Christmas, my computer got a virus and was gone for two weeks. A week after I got my laptop back it appeared to be still infected, so I took it back and they said it would take 5-10 days on rush. The week that I left on my two-day getaway to Orange County, a rock hit my windshield while I was driving on the 99. The crack was small at first but spread and just would better to be taken care of while I'm home. Oh, Megan fucking bailed on our trip, that jerk. Then I left my ipod in orange county. On the bright side, it forced me to dig out old cd's in my old room. hello, motion city soundtrack

In the end of it all I found that I don't have anything in common with anyone here. In addition, whenever i come to this place I always feel more alone than ever, even though this is my home. was my home? I don't remember this place being so cold. The grass is greener here, I guess that helps a little.
